In their first all-staff meeting since the start of the Trump administration, the interim leadership of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention attempted to sidestep controversy and rally troops at the storied but demoralized agency on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Staff were told CDC director nominee Susan Monarez has begun meeting with senators in advance of a still-unscheduled Senate confirmation hearing. They were also informed the June meeting of the agency\u2019s expert vaccine panel, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, will be shorter than anticipated because the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.statnews.com\/2025\/06\/11\/rfk-jr-names-new-acip-members-replaces-cdc-vaccine-experts-he-just-fired\/\">eight new members of the committee<\/a>&nbsp;\u2014 17 previous members&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.statnews.com\/2025\/06\/09\/rfk-jr-fires-every-member-of-cdc-vaccine-expert-panel-acip\/\">were fired last week<\/a>&nbsp;by health secretary Robert F.
