Neuroscience Curriculum

Neuroscience Doctoral Program Curriculum

IGPBS Neuroscience students are required to take a minimum of seven credited courses.  Three completed courses must be at the 900 level.  The following courses are required.

1st Year, Fall Semester

1st Year, Spring Semester

2nd Year, Fall Semester

2nd Year, Spring Semester

Completion of comprehensive exam (end of summer of 2nd year)

Students are also required to take Seminar and Journal Club each semester and participate in research other than thesis.


For MD/PhD students:

MD/PhD students must take three graded courses, one of which must be at the 900 level. Sufficient knowledge of statistics will be required. If the student does not have a background in statistics, the thesis committee will work with the student to register for a statistics course.
