Research Summary:
Much of Dr. Nelson’s research focuses on the applications of robotics and mechanical design to problems with social impact, such as medicine. The lab has worked in the areas of surgical robotics, rehabilitation robotics and equipment design, modular robotics for space exploration, medical devices, and kinematic analysis, among other topics.
