Brett Van Briggle, MD

Brett Van Briggle, MDDr. Brett Van Briggle was born and raised in the Sandhills of the western Nebraska Panhandle. He attended undergraduate at Chadron State College and worked as a medical technologist prior to attending medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He pursued his residency in Internal Medicine at UNMC as part of the Primary Care Program which was developed to address the underserved healthcare needs of Nebraska. His areas of interest include education, outreach, and rural medicine. His spare time is spent with his ever-adventurous daughter Gretta and loving wife and fellow physician Dr. Kylee Stanley on their farm away from the bustling city. Aside from his family, music is an immense source of joy in his life having grown up an avid fiddle player exploring Appalachian and Irish folk music. Today, he continues to find joy sharing the healing power of music with his patients and colleagues as part of the Nebraska Medical Orchestra.

Dr. Van Briggle’s impressive background, his hard work as a resident at UNMC, and his determination to achieve his career goals are great qualities that distinguish him. His deep extending roots in the community and interest in serving the local people emphasize UNMC’s mission in training outstanding physicians like himself.
