Research Experience

Dr. Larsen in Research Lab

Research is an important part of fellowship training and our fellows have opportunities to engage in basic, translational, clinical or educational research. Fellows are provided the time, mentorship and resources to complete a meaningful research experience with their work being presented at national meetings and frequently published in peer-reviewed journals.

Research Outline
  • Fellows are provided time and support to participate in research during their fellowship and submit their findings at a national meeting.
  • Fellows have 4 weeks of protected time in their 1st year, and 12+ weeks protected time in their 2nd year, to complete their research.
  • Fellows are encouraged to attend one national meeting per year paid for by the Division, the expectation being that the fellow will submit an abstract to the meeting.
