Navigating the Promotion Process

Faculty at times struggle to understand and smoothly navigate the process required to apply for promotion/tenure. This document will highlight important deadlines, tips & tricks from senior faculty, and recommendations for faculty undertaking this important step in career progression. The college of medicine has promotion and tenure website with many resources, including the current guidelines located here. The department maintains a repository of materials donated by faculty who have successfully achieved promotion – if you are interested in accessing this archive, please reach Shannon Boerner, sboerner@unmc.edu.
