I was born and raised in Vermillion, South Dakota.  I started my medical career prior to graduating college by earning a Paramedic Certification when attending college.  After graduating from the University of South Dakota with a BS in biology.  I went on to earn a Master of Public Administration with an emphasis in Health Service Administration, also from the University of South Dakota.  I then elected to pursue my medical degree at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida.  I am very happy to be back in the Midwest and honored to continue with the Department of Internal Medicine as the chief resident at the Omaha VA.
