Over the three year integrative longitudinal curriculum, UNMC internal medicine residents learn to acquire and interpret focused cardiac, lung, abdominal, soft tissue, and procedural ultrasound images and integrate this information into their patient management decisions.

For residents who want to practice and learn more about point of care ultrasound, residents can participate in the resident run interest group. There is also opportunity for interested residents to achieve "distinction" in POCUS by meeting higher-level requirements.
