Program's Overall Goals & Objectives

The Internal Medicine Residency Program's primary goal is to train strong general internists that leave the program to excel at subspecialty training, primary care practices or hospitalist positions.  The training program places an emphasis on education and values resident input in all aspects of training.  Resident education is the priority of the program as evidenced by a comprehensive didactics series as well as diverse experiences in terms of patient populations and training locations.  Three primary objectives of the program are the following:
