Name:
Bernadette Lamb

Where did you go for Undergraduate and Medical School?
For undergrad, I went to Creighton University (GO JAYS!), where I majored in Biology and minored in Spanish. I went to the University of Oklahoma for medical school.

Career aspirations?
Gastroenterology

What was your first job?
I worked in the concession stand for my brother's legion baseball team and helped tennis clinics in the summertime.

Where is the furthest you've travelled from Omaha?
Jamaica

If you couldn't work in medicine, what would you do?
Definitely something working with animals. Probably a veterinarian or a zookeeper working with sloths and penguins.

Best thing to do in Nebraska if you only had one day?
I'd probably spend the day roaming around the zoo and then go to Blackstone to enjoy a restaurant patio with friends.

Most fond residency experience or memory up to this point?
Too many to count! Some of my favorites are probably spending the first month of residency wards with my co-intern Willie Talbert and regular dinners with my co-residents outside of work. Coming to work everyday with friends is truly amazing, and there's always something to help brighten the day.
