Naturalistic Driving Analysis Tools

The Mind & Brain Health Labs have developed software that merges data from multiple sensors, including video and electronic vehicle data, into an easy-to-review and code data stream. This allows for electronic vehicle data to be easily contextualized with the visual and auditory environment of a driver.

Drive data is stored on the lab's file server, "AccesS GAte for Research Data" (ASGARD). UNMC's custom video review tools import drive data into an easy-to-review and code data stream, which allows four channels of video to be displayed alongside a GPS, vehicle speed and any other data collected by the vehicle's sensor package. This allows for systematic and streamlined review of large sets of naturalistic driving data to quantify driving performance.
