Lifespan Respite Subsidy Program

The application may be filled out by caregivers who reside in their own home and care for an individual with a disability of any age. This program provides up to $125/month that may be directed toward the cost of respite. If funding is required due to a caregiver’s illness, absence or danger, you may complete a Crisis Respite Request to accompany the application for Lifespan Respite Subsidy. If eligible, the amount up to $1,000 can be awarded.

Powerful Tools for Caregivers

Powerful Tools for Caregivers is an educational program to help family and friends caring for children and/or adults with long-term health conditions.

The Powerful Tools for Caregivers series consists of six classes, each of which focuses on different tools that help guide the caregiver through the caregiving journey. Caregivers learn about setting goals, staying motivated and dealing with feelings of anger, guilt and depression. This gives them the increased confidence and ability to cope with the demands of caregiving.
