Zachary LaBrot, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the Munroe-Meyer Institute for Genetics and Rehabilitation. He received his Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi and completed his internship and post-doctoral training at the Munroe-Meyer Institute. Dr. LaBrot conducts his clinic in a university-based academic health center at the Munroe-Meyer Institute and in an integrated behavioral health clinic at the Durham Outpatient Center. He is also the co-director of the Academic Evaluation and Intervention Clinic.

His clinical interests include the assessment and treatment of externalizing behavior concerns (e.g., noncompliance, aggression, and tantrums), assessment and treatment of sleep concerns, toilet training and elimination disorders, habit/tic/obsessive-compulsive disorders, ADHD assessment and treatment, and developmental disabilities. His research program is largely focused on developing and evaluating effective problem-solving consultation and training strategies designed to increase both caregivers’ and teachers’ use of evidence-based behavior management strategies that intervene with and prevent social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties in young children.
