Professional Summary
Maya is a Pediatric Occupational Therapy Fellow at the Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI) for the 2022-2023 year. She graduated from College of Saint Mary in December 2020 with a Master’s in Occupational Therapy. Maya has experience working in outpatient pediatrics, a contracted school based setting, and in acute rehab. She has worked with children ages 1 through 20 years old with a variety of diagnoses, including Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, developmental delay, and sensory processing disorders. Maya is certified in Therapeutic Listening: Listening with the Whole Body. She also has experience with providing sensory-based feeding interventions paired with strategies to increase carryover into the home. Additionally, Maya has experience testing and helping integrate retained primitive reflexes. Her greatest joy is helping children increase their quality of life through meaningful, client-centered interventions.
