Parent Resource Coordinators (PRCs)
PRCs are parents of children with disabilities and/or complex health needs who have specific training to provide parent-to-parent support and help you connect to resources you may need.Parent Resource Coordinators can help with
Early Intervention Services: Refer and connect families to the Early Development Network
Insurance: Assist with Nebraska Medicaid, Medicaid Waiver programs, private insurance and appeals
Parent Education: Host support groups/workshops, plan special family events, and coordinate activities program
Eligibility: Identify programs that help meet family needs such as WIC (nutritional program for Women, Infants and Children), childcare, respite and other social services
Basic Needs: Provide resources for housing, utilities, food, medicine and recreational activities
Youth Transition: Guide families through applications with SSI, Developmental Disability Services, Medicaid and guardianship
