Professional Summary
Christina Pynn, PhD, PLP, LMHP is a Post-Doctoral Fellow on the Comprehensive School-Based Mental Health Team in the Department of Psychology at UNMC’s Munroe-Meyer Institute. She earned her PhD in School Psychology at Oklahoma State University and completed her predoctoral internship in Behavioral Pediatrics and Integrated Care at MMI. Additionally, Dr. Pynn is pursuing her Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) and takes a behavioral approach to assessment and treatment of children and adolescents.
Dr. Pynn provides individual and group therapy within a middle school setting, aiming to decrease barriers to mental and behavioral health services. She is a part of the Intensive Behavior Consultation Team, which provides services to support schools in meeting the needs of complex students. Her clinical and research interests center around providing evidence-based treatment and working with schools to implement mental and behavioral health systems through an interdisciplinary approach. Dr. Pynn works diligently to foster positive, collaborative partnerships with educators and school systems to increase access to equitable services.
