Courtney Foster, MA, PLMHP is a predoctoral intern in the Behavioral Pediatrics and Integrated Care Program in the Munroe-Meyer Institute Department of Psychology at UNMC. Courtney provides services in the Val Verde Clinic. She is a master’s level provider who expects to earn her PhD in Health Psychology with an emphasis in Pediatric School Psychology from East Carolina University in July 2022. While in graduate school, Courtney received clinical training in the provision of evidence-based treatments and interventions to address a variety of concerns common to children and adolescents. She loves working in primary care, helping children and families work together as a team to attain their treatment goals. Additionally, Courtney has specialized training in providing assessments for ADHD, emotional/behavioral disorders and Autism Spectrum Disorders. Her research and clinical interests revolve around bullying and the effects on mental health for children and adolescents. In particular, she is interested in the impacts of bullying on the mental health of adolescents who have a neurological condition (i.e., Tourette’s, Epilepsy, and Headaches/Migraines). Courtney is looking forward to continuing her work in primary care at Munroe-Meyer Institute.
