Professional Summary
Jenna McGinnis, MA, MA, PLMHP, is a predoctoral intern in the Munroe-Meyer Institute Department of Psychology at UNMC. Jenna is a 5th year Doctoral Candidate in the School Psychology Program at the University of Minnesota. Prior, she earned her MA in Clinical Psychology at the University of Central Florida. Jenna takes a cognitive behavioral approach to treatment and assessment.
Jenna’s clinical experience includes providing treatment for children, adolescents, and families across multiple settings, including residential facilities, outpatient clinics, specialized summer treatment programs and integrated primary care clinics. Jenna has experience working individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, externalizing disorders (e.g., ADHD) and internalizing disorders (e.g., depression, anxiety). Jenna also has experience working in schools to provide children with academic, social, emotional and behavioral supports, as well as providing consultation services to teachers and administrators. Jenna’s research interests include increasing access to school-based mental health services and increasing caregiver involvement in their child’s school-based mental health services.
