Professional Summary
Emily joined the MMI team as a Recreational Technician in 2014. While working part time at MMI, she also attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she graduated with a degree in Special Education/Elementary Education. After graduation, she taught for five years as a Special Education teacher in the Omaha Public Schools district. She enjoyed her time in the school setting and is excited to now be using her skills as an Adaptive Therapy Specialist at MMI. Emily is passionate about enhancing the quality of life of children and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. With a heart-centered approach, she works to build meaningful relationships and instill a sense of self-confidence in each individual she works with. Emily is looking forward to all the memories and growth that will happen at MMI.
