Jessica Janota is an acute care speech-language pathologist in the department of speech-language pathology at the UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute. Jessica joined the team in October of 2021. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Iowa and a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from The Ohio State University. Jessica completed her clinical fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics where she evaluated cognition, speech-language, voice, and swallow function utilizing informal/formal assessments to develop evidenced-based intervention plans for acute care populations. Clinical interests include dysphagia management, tracheostomy/mechanical ventilation, head and neck cancer, and organ transplants.
