Professional Summary
After obtaining a Master of the Arts in speech-language pathology from the George Washington University, Jessica Peters joined MMI as an outpatient speech-language pathologist to complete her clinical fellowship in 2020. With a former career as a professional opera singer, Jessica has a primary focus on voice disoders including professional voice users, resonant voice therapy, vocal fold nodules, muscle tension dysphonia and vocal cord dysfunction/paraxoxical vocal fold motion. Jessica also has special interest in gender diverse voice training, joining Dr. Adrienne B. Hancock, PhD, CCC-SLP in a research study during her time at GWU, exploring the effects of healthy singing on speaking voices in this population. Additional interests include Parkinsons disease, head and neck cancer and dysphagia. Currently residing in Phoenix, Arizona, Jessica provides her services through teletherapy.
