Director of the Warren G. Sanger Human Genetics Laboratory

Dr. Sanmann is board certified in both Clinical Cytogenetics and Clinical Molecular Genetics through the ABMGG. Although her responsibilities in the laboratory have evolved, Dr. Sanmann has been a member of the Warren G. Sanger Human Genetics Laboratory team since 2005. She completed her Ph.D. in 2012 prior to completing fellowships in Clinical Cytogenetics and Clinical Molecular Genetics. In addition to her role in the clinical laboratory, Dr. Sanmann serves as an associate professor of MMI with courtesy appointments in the Department of Pediatrics and the College of Allied Health Professions. Her primary research focuses on the relationship between genotype and phenotype in both the constitutional and oncology settings using a variety of cytogenetic and molecular genetic techniques.
