About the event
Each March, the Meyer Foundation for Disabilities hosts the Walk and Roll for Disabilities. This event is a short, non-competitive walk indoors at the Oak View Mall, the event raises money for adult recreational therapy programming at the Munroe-Meyer Institute.
More than 300 people participate in this event and that the walk raises about $30,000 annually.

The pandemic did not stop MFD from walking and rolling to raise critical funds UNMC's Munroe-Meyer Institute. The 17th annual Walk and Roll was held on Sunday, March 7, 2021 as a virtual event, and the 200 participants and supporting families raised nearly $20,000 to support recreation and social programs for adults through MMI. THANK YOU!

Mary McHale, president of MMI's board, offered special thanks to Kara Covrig for the excellent job she did hosting the virtual event, helping make it fun and meaningful for all participants. The program included a presentation by MMI Director Karoly Mirnics, MD, PhD.
