Dr. Kedar is a tenured professor of neurological sciences, ophthalmology and visual sciences at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) and the Stanley Truhlsen Eye Institute. He graduated from India’s premier medical school, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi followed by residency training in ophthalmology and neurology, and fellowship training in neuro-ophthalmology and clinical neurophysiology. He is a fellow of the North American Neuro-ophthalmology Society (NANOS) and the American Academy of Neurology (AAN). He directs the UNMC neuro-ophthalmology and ocular electrophysiology section, UNMC neurology residency program and chairs the NANOS Curriculum Committee. He has received numerous teaching awards including the NANOS Merit Award, AAO achievement award and the AAN excellence in teaching certificate. He has more than 80 journal publications, book chapters and online educational materials. His research interests include development of novel teaching methods, ophthalmic biomarkers of neurological diseases, clinical trials in neuro-ophthalmology and the impact of visual impairment on cognition. His clinical practice includes the entire gamut of visual disorders resulting from neurological diseases.
