The Department of Neurosurgery, in partnership with the Department of Otolaryngology, maintains a 10 station skull base dissection lab on the campus of UNMC. Located adjacent to the medical schools gross anatomy lab, each station features a quality microscopes paired with Stryker drills, suction/irrigation,and micro dissection tools. Cadaveric material is also readily available.
Each spring, a skull base dissection course lead by neuro-otology and neurosurgery is held at UNMC.
This course has been ongoing for over two decades and is available to residents, academics and private practice providers.
