Jered Garrison, Ph.D.

Work done in the lab of Jered Garrison, Ph.D., assistant professor of pharmaceutical science in the College of Pharmacy, was cited as one of the top stories in the Aug. 1 edition of molecularimaging.net. The website for the trade publication Molecular Imaging Insight hailed the discovery that hypoxia-abled biomarkers could be a boon for prostate cancer imaging. The findings of Dr. Garrison and the UNMC team of Zhengyuan Zhou, Nilesh Wagh, Ph.D., Sunny Ogbomo, Ph.D., Wen Shi, Yinnong Jia and Susan Brusnahan were previously published in the Journal of Nuclear Medicine.

Volunteer Services is hosting a book sale on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (Sept. 11, 12 and 13) at the west atrium on the first floor of the Durham Outpatient Center. The sale will run from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Money raised at the sale is used to support special projects for patients, such as red-nose clown supplies, hospitality cart supplies, DVDs and other special requests.
