October 6 through 10 is Physician Assistant Week.

Physician assistants across the country use PA Week to promote their profession and celebrate the unique contribution of physician assistants in providing access to medical care.

At UNMC, the students of the PA Class of 2016 are celebrating PA Week by recognizing the PA faculty and other physician assistants working at UNMC. In celebration of PA Week, the class is participating in a charity 5K run and bringing small gifts and treats for the PA faculty and physician assistants working at UNMC.

“These are just a small token of the students’ appreciation for all that PAs do for Nebraska health care and our future profession,” said class member Tracy Farrell.

What a great way to begin the celebration of National PA Week on our campus. Thanks, Chancellor Gold, for all you do to support PAs (holding the sign is just frosting on the cake), and thanks to the best PA students in the world right here at UNMC!
