Registration is open for CHRI conference

Registration is open for the Child Health Research Institute Conference to be held Nov. 3 and 4. The conference will be primarily an in-person event that also includes some virtual elements.

Light appetizers will be served at the Nov. 3 event that runs from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Children’s Hospital & Medical Center solarium. The Nov. 4 schedule will run from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Scott Conference Center, 6450 Pine St. in Omaha Breakfast and lunch will be served. Complimentary parking will be available at both locations. Please indicate if guest parking is needed at Children’s for the Thursday (Nov. 3) session.

Reduced cost, early registration is available until Sep. 15.

Chanda Chacón, Children’s president & CEO, and Jeffrey P. Gold, MD, UNMC chancellor, will welcome the participants to the conference.

Other speakers include:

  • Margaret (Peggy) Hostetter, MD, chair of the CHRI National Scientific Advisory Board, professor emerita, department of pediatrics, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
  • Jeff Murray, MD, professor of pediatrics, University of Iowa, and CHRI National Scientific Advisory Board member.
  • Kevin Johnson, MD, CHRI National Scientific Advisory Board member, vice president of applied informatics at the University of Pennsylvania Health System and David L. Cohen University Professor at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
