Maria Alvarran: When the doctors or nurses would see that I could not (speak Spanish), they 
would put a thing like this (VRI) so that it would talk like me. 

Interviewer: They would put up a screen for you with an interpreter. Perfect.

Francisco Gutierrez: Everything has always been good. When there is any doubt or question, they have always guided us and responded well.

Matthew Lunning, M.D.: Throughout their care, we will use an interpreter to help us understand what they are feeling. We want another pair of eyes, another pair of ears, and a voice of clarification in order to ensure what they express is correct (in our interpretation) because we are making decisions based upon what they say. We want to do everything we possibly can to be 100 percent in our understanding. Therefore, I respect and thank our interpreters and the work that they do. They have worked very hard throughout the pandemic and in a different way to allow us the opportunity to provide
excellent care during or after a clinical trial.
