When Bud Shaw, M.D., came to UNMC in 1985 from Pittsburgh to establish the liver transplant program, he knew of no better person to bring along than Laurel Williams, R.N., M.S.N., manager of the Liver and Intestinal Coordinators Organ Transplantation Program.
