As of Oct. 1, all licensed physicians must "attest" to having completed 50 hours of continuing medical education in order to renew their license. LB 1021, passed in 2002, requires all licensed physicians, osteopathic physicians and surgeons to complete 50 hours of Category 1 continuing medical education in a two-year period.
