{"id":100087,"date":"2023-06-05T01:56:00","date_gmt":"2023-06-05T06:56:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/?p=100087"},"modified":"2023-06-02T16:21:53","modified_gmt":"2023-06-02T21:21:53","slug":"gme-research-symposium-draws-more-than-100-abstracts-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2023\/06\/05\/gme-research-symposium-draws-more-than-100-abstracts-2\/","title":{"rendered":"GME Research Symposium draws more than 100 abstracts"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\">\n<p>The Fifth Annual Graduate Medical Education Research Symposium was held on May 3 in the Truhlsen Events Center.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More than 100 abstracts were presented in oral or poster formats.&nbsp;Presentation content ranged from original research to reviews, meta-analyses and case reports, covering a wide range of topics that included clinical outcomes, patient safety, quality improvement, basic science, education and other research relevant to graduate medical education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abstracts presented at the symposium will be included in the Graduate Medical Education Research Journal, Volume 5, Issue 1, set to be published in June 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/unmc\/albums\/72177720308363574\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">See photos from the event<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Awards were given to the best abstracts in the oral and poster categories. This speaks volumes about the learning environment we have here, which is so conducive to research driven by house officers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We wish them the very best for their future research
