UNMC Human Resources is seeking nominations for an excellent colleague or co-worker \u2013 someone \u201cwho completely rocks every single day,\u201d in the words of Evelyn Grixby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nominations are open for the Gold \u201cU\u201d and Silver \u201cU\u201d Awards \u2013 UNMC\u2019s top employee recognition awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe know that many employees consistently go above and beyond in their work,\u201d said Grixby, HR employee relations programs coordinator. \u201cA nomination for the Gold \u2018U\u2019 or Silver \u2018U\u2019 awards is a great way to show appreciation to a well-deserving colleague.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chancellor\u2019s Commendation Gold \u201cU\u201d Award<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chancellor\u2019s Commendation Gold \u201cU\u201d is awarded six times a year to employees who consistently deliver outstanding performance and service to UNMC. Recipients of the Gold \u201cU\u201d receive a Gold \u201cU\u201d pin with a genuine diamond, $100 cash award, a career development award of up to $2,500 and recognition at a University of Nebraska Board of Regents meeting that includes a Board of Regents \u201cKudos\u201d certificate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silver \u201cU\u201d Award<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Silver \u201cU\u201d Award is given annually to approximately 72 employees whose overall performance is above and beyond the scope of their position. Awardees receive a Silver \u201cU\u201d pin with a genuine ruby, a clothing item with the Silver \u201cU\u201d logo, and a certificate of recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
