Updated Tuesday, Aug. 8, at 10:10 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Work continues at the Clarkson Doctors Building South after a water main caused flooding there Monday evening. The building is closed today as crews work to clean and repair flood damage and make sure all the building\u2019s critical systems are working. Clarkson Doctors Building South will remain closed through the day Tuesday, August 8. A decision will be made later in the day about operations for Wednesday August 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All other Nebraska Medical Center facilities are operating normally, including the Emergency Department and all hospital inpatient areas. Any patients with appointments in Clarkson Doctors Building South will be contacted directly to reschedule. Colleagues who typically work in the building should contact their direct manager with questions about upcoming work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This post will be updated with new information as it becomes available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to a broken water main near the Nebraska Medical Center campus (near 42nd<\/sup>\u00a0and Farnam streets), Clarkson Doctors Building South will be closed Tuesday, Aug. 8. Nebraska Medical Center\u2019s Emergency Department and inpatient units remain open and fully functional. Nebraska Medicine and UNMC Facilities Management teams are working directly with the Metropolitan Utilities District to repair the leak.
