{"id":101875,"date":"2023-08-09T01:52:00","date_gmt":"2023-08-09T06:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/?p=101875"},"modified":"2024-03-27T09:20:02","modified_gmt":"2024-03-27T14:20:02","slug":"get-to-know-servicenow-virtual-agent","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2023\/08\/09\/get-to-know-servicenow-virtual-agent\/","title":{"rendered":"Get to know ServiceNow: Virtual agent\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\">\n<p>Wouldn&#8217;t it be nice to have a personal assistant who could help you navigate all things Information Technology and was on standby to answer any question as it came up?&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, the UNMC\/Nebraska Medicne Information Technology team can\u2019t be everywhere at once to support the thousands of users across the health system, but the new virtual agent in ServiceNow may be the next best thing.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of IT\u2019s commitment to providing excellent customer service, it is introducing a new chatbot tool within ServiceNow, which makes getting help as easy as 1, 2, 3.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Step 1: Navigate to <a href=\"https:\/\/nebraskamed.service-now.com\/esc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ServiceNow<\/a>.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Step 2: Click on the conversation bubble on the bottom right of the screen.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Step 3: Type what you\u2019re looking for and let the virtual agent do all the work.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Users also can click \u201cShow me everything\u201d from the virtual agent window for a menu of available options, which includes an opportunity to connect with a representative from the service desk in real time just like in the screenshots below.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"624\" height=\"592\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/ServiceNow3080923.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-101876\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/ServiceNow3080923.jpg 624w, https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/ServiceNow3080923-300x285.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 624px) 100vw, 624px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Read more about the new features that launched in ServiceNow on Aug. 8 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2023\/07\/31\/improved-it-service-catalog-launches-aug-8\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">in this prior article<\/a>.
