Holyoke, MD, PhD, Society in July, and a gathering for new members was held in August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The society is dedicated to both the memory and vast contributions of Dr. Holyoke, a beloved professor, mentor and friend of the UNMC College of Medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The society honors Dr. Holyoke&#8217;s dedication to medical education, as well as his vision, leadership and passion, during his 50 years at UNMC. The Holyoke Society is an exclusive cadre of the college\u2019s most invested alumni and friends, who sharing the college&#8217;s vision and demonstrate their commitment through their leadership and support. There is an in-person gathering of the society set for March 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/com\/about\/holyoke.html\">See more about the Holyoke Society, including a complete list of members<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Holyoke Society is a highlight for the UNMC College of Medicine,\u201d said Brad Britigan, MD, dean of the college. \u201cThis year\u2019s member class join such illustrious names as Drs. Michael Sorrell, Stanley Truhlsen  and others. We appreciate their support of the college.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The society\u2019s 2023 inductees included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Adrian Almquist, MD<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clifford Joe Anderson, MD<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Roger Friedman, MD<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bruce Harms, MD<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mark Houser, MD<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rex Latta, MD<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kanchan Lodhia, MD<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mary Mackiernan, MD<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thomas Merrick, MD<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Daniel Moravec, MD<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Margaret Moravec, MD<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Eileen Vautravers, MD<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Holyoke Society recognizes physicians who provide support by making outright gifts totaling $100,000 or more or estate gifts of $200,000 or more benefiting the UNMC College of Medicine. Since the society was established, individual honorees have expanded opportunities for experiential education for students, supported the college\u2019s faculty, advanced cutting-edge discovery and
