{"id":102474,"date":"2023-08-30T01:54:00","date_gmt":"2023-08-30T06:54:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/?p=102474"},"modified":"2023-08-29T11:04:24","modified_gmt":"2023-08-29T16:04:24","slug":"events-planned-to-promote-wellness-in-nursing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2023\/08\/30\/events-planned-to-promote-wellness-in-nursing\/","title":{"rendered":"Events planned to promote wellness in nursing"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\">\n<p>The Nebraska Collaborative Investment in Nurses will offer several training courses in the coming weeks to promote wellness in the nursing profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The collaborative was formed to deliver wellness interventions and resources to address and reduce burnout and behavioral health conditions in nursing students, RNs and APRNs, with a focus on rural and medically underserved areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is a partnership of the UNMC College of Nursing, UNMC College of Public Health, Nebraska Center for Nursing, Nebraska Board of Nursing, Nebraska Hospital Association and HRSA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following opportunities are available:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sept. 15 in Kearney, Nebraska: Speaker Kay Glidden will discuss \u201cCompassion Fatigue: Identifying Causes, Recognizing Signs, and Building Strategies to Improve Communication &amp; Interaction with Patients &amp; Co-Workers.\u201d All medical professionals are welcome for the in-person event.<br>Click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/nursing\/educational-programs\/current-grants-hrsa\/register-heal-healer.html\">here for more info<\/a>.<br>Register <a href=\"https:\/\/app1.unmc.edu\/cne\/23CE00122\/\">online here<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>September-November 2023 Zoom Program:\u00a0\u201cPsychological First Aid (PFA) and WHOLE: Wellness, How One Lives Effectively Program.\u201d\u00a0Faculty and staff are welcome to sign up, and this program is open to all medical professionals.<br>For more information, click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/nursing\/educational-programs\/current-grants-hrsa\/2023-7-7_hrsa_whole_pfa_flyer.pdf\">here<\/a>.
