Nebraska Medicine dietitian Laura Hernandez will explain the differences between mindful eating and intuitive eating, bringing in the tool of the hunger scale to recognize hunger and fullness cues. The 10 principles of intuitive eating, how it relates to a healthy lifestyle and the relationship with food will be discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The virtual event is on Tuesday, Sept. 19, from noon to 1 p.m. Register through Engage<\/a>, email the Olson Women\u2019s Health Resource Center<\/a> or call 402-559-6345.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a free event and open to the community. Nursing credit is available for $15. The Zoom link will be emailed to registrants prior to the event.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by University of Nebraska Medical Center and Olson Center for Women\u2019s Health. University of Nebraska Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing\u00a0Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the health care team.
