The 2023 Wellness Fair will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 4, at the Center for Healthy Living gymnasium (Student Life Center room 1007) from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than 30 campus organizations and departments, as well as community businesses and non-profits, will provide resources to med center students, faculty and staff that encompass the eight dimensions of wellness \u2014 emotional, spiritual, intellectual, physical, environmental, financial, occupational and social.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visit participating exhibitors for wellness information, giveaways, door prizes and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Free drinks for students<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

UNMC Student Senate is sponsoring The Beanery coffee truck at the 2023 Wellness Fair in the south student 65S lot. The first 200 UNMC students will receive a free drink of their choice when they show their student ID. Beverages will be available for purchase for med center faculty and staff, and prices range from $3 to $5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Viva Fit Kitchen to sell rice bowls<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Viva Fit Kitchen will have Build-You-Own-Rice-Bowls available for purchase with non-meat ($12) and meat ($13) options available, as well as free samples. Rice bowls include rice, protein and veggies. Only credit cards will be accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blood draws available for wellness panels<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

UNMC Regional Pathology Services will support physical wellness by offering blood testing for both men and women\u2019s health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Self-registration appointments will be available along, with walk-ins the day of the health fair. Patients may schedule an appointment online<\/a> to select the tests they wish to receive. Select Oct. 4 as the date to register.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Patients should fast for 12 to 16 hours prior to the blood draw. Only credit card payments are accepted and will be collected at the time of the blood draw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
