Vendors will be located on both the east and west sides of campus, serving from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The schedule is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>East end of campus&nbsp;(Sorrell Center, Alumni Commons area unless specified otherwise below):<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mondays&nbsp;\u2013 Southern Spoon<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tuesdays \u2013 Zemogs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wednesdays&nbsp;\u2013 Pulled BBQ Omaha<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thursdays \u2013 Sgt. Email&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:rhboldt@unmc.edu\">Rick Boldt<\/a>&nbsp;in the UNMC Office of Business and Finance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ice rink construction to affect Sorrell Center traffic<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ongoing construction work around the UNMC Ice Rink will affect the northwest entrance to the Sorrell Center next week. Another sidewalk closure from the project will start today (Sept. 29) and is due to last until Friday, Oct. 6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During that time, the northwest\/2<sup>nd<\/sup> floor entrance and exit for Sorrell will be closed. The ice rink is expected to be closed off until Nov. 30 to replace piping and concrete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With questions, contact Blake Wesely by&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:bwesley@unmc.edu\">email<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Multiple myeloma webinar is Oct. 26<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A free patient webinar on multiple myeloma will be held on Oct. 26 from 11 a.m.-12:15  p.m. CT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The webinar will discuss issues including CAR T-cell therapy for multiple myeloma, autologous stem cell transplant and the costs of cancer care. Presenters include Christopher D&#8217;Angelo, MD, assistant professor in the UNMC Division of Hematology and Oncology and a physician of the Fred &amp; Pamela Buffett Cancer Center, and Jennifer Schmidt, multiple myeloma transplant case manager with the Fred &amp; Pamela Buffett Cancer Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Register online at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nccn.org\/patientwebinars\">this link<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The webinar is supported through the National Comprehensive Cancer Network Foundation and contributions from corporate sponsors Bristol Myers Squibb and Janssen Biotech Inc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>OBGYN residents escaped to Barbie\u2019s world<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UNMC\u2019s OBGYN residents went on a &#8220;Barbie&#8221; retreat recently. The OBGYN residents escaped to Barbie\u2019s world, to experience a well-deserved pause from the pressures of the medical world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Resident wellness is of prime importance to us, and our overnight resident retreat has always been a wonderful opportunity for team-building and relaxation away from the hospital,\u201d said program director Laura Cudzilo-Kelsey, MD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For decades, the OBGYN residency program has consistency organized their annual retreats with the help of faculty members who ensured round-the-clock service coverage, enabling residents to partake in the retreat experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;m grateful to our chief residents and our program coordinator, Jessica Wilde, for their efforts in planning the
