{"id":103492,"date":"2023-10-06T09:00:54","date_gmt":"2023-10-06T14:00:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/?p=103492"},"modified":"2025-02-21T11:33:18","modified_gmt":"2025-02-21T17:33:18","slug":"dr-fadul-named-to-national-board","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2023\/10\/06\/dr-fadul-named-to-national-board\/","title":{"rendered":"Dr. Fadul named to national board"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\">\n<p>UNMC\u2019s Nada Fadul, MD, professor of infectious diseases and medical director of the Specialty Care Center, has been selected for the Infectious Disease Society of America\u2019s HIV Medical Association Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Fadul will begin her three-year term in October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s an honor and a privilege to be selected to serve the society and the HIV community at large in this role,\u201d Dr. Fadul said. \u201cI am looking forward to the opportunity to expand my advocacy efforts to eliminate health disparities and strive towards equity for people living with and at risk for HIV infection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The HIV Medicine Association is a community of health care professionals who advance a comprehensive and humane response to the HIV pandemic, informed by science and social justice. The association\u2019s strategic priorities include increasing access to health care services and coverage for populations at risk for HIV and people with HIV and sustaining and building a robust,
