{"id":104604,"date":"2023-10-27T01:52:00","date_gmt":"2023-10-27T06:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/?p=104604"},"modified":"2025-02-21T11:32:47","modified_gmt":"2025-02-21T17:32:47","slug":"unmc-for-the-record-oct-27-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2023\/10\/27\/unmc-for-the-record-oct-27-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"UNMC for the record, Oct. 27, 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\">\n<p><strong>Make-up \u2018Operation Immunization\u2019 flu clinic set<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The UNMC College of Pharmacy\u2019s award-winning Operation Immunization, a unique collaboration between the college, student health, family medicine, employee health and the UNMC chapter of the American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists, is holding a make-up flu shot clinic Nov. 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone \u2013 especially students \u2013 still needing a flu shot can go to the PDD (pharmacy building) simulation lab next Wednesday from 2:30 to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dr. Fadul named to national board<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UNMC\u2019s Nada Fadul, MD, professor of infectious diseases and medical director of the Specialty Care Center, has been selected for the Infectious Disease Society of America\u2019s HIV Medical Association Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Fadul begins her three-year term in October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s an honor and a privilege to be selected to serve the society and the HIV community at large in this role,\u201d Dr. Fadul said. \u201cI am looking forward to the opportunity to expand my advocacy efforts to eliminate health disparities and strive towards equity for people living with and at risk for HIV infection.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Food vendors on campus<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mark your calendars with the schedule of food vendors on the UNMC Omaha campus. Vendors will be located on both the east and west sides of campus, serving from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily.
