{"id":104920,"date":"2023-11-06T02:56:00","date_gmt":"2023-11-06T08:56:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/?p=104920"},"modified":"2023-11-03T11:47:16","modified_gmt":"2023-11-03T16:47:16","slug":"2023-employee-giving-campaign-starts-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2023\/11\/06\/2023-employee-giving-campaign-starts-today\/","title":{"rendered":"2023 employee giving campaign starts today"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\">\n<p>The 2023 UNMC employee giving campaign kicks off today and will run through Dec. 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, employees have the opportunity to support their community through two different pathways: the United Way of the Midlands campaign and Give Nebraska (formerly the Community Service Fund of Nebraska).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UNMC has set a goal of 50% employee participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s easy to give.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>United Way of the Midlands:&nbsp;<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Donate via the email sent this morning from the United Way of the Midlands or click on this\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/go.unmc.edu\/uwmidlands\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">link<\/a>. The link will lead to a single UNMC sign-in page.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Employees can sign in with their UNMC username and password.&nbsp;These should auto populate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once signed in, the employee will be directed to a personalized giving page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Donate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A \u201cno pledge\u201d option is available for employees who choose not to donate. Employees who are unable to contribute still are encouraged to access the ePledge website and submit a \u201cno donation\u201d response. <strong>A \u201cno donation\u201d response counts toward total employee participation.<\/strong> After an employee has submitted a donation or no donation response, United Way will no longer send additional giving emails this month.<strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Give Nebraska: <\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click on this&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.givenebraska.org\/unmc-donate-page.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">link<\/a>. The link will lead to UNMC\u2019s Give Nebraska donation page.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Register and donate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Donation options:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Employees can give by credit card on the online giving site, as well as through payroll deduction, cash or check.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Campaign pledges, which can be made through UNMC&#8217;s payroll deduction, are automatically withdrawn from the last check in December 2023 for biweekly paid employees and January 2024 for employees paid monthly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Incentives:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To help meet the campus goal of 50% employee participation, UNMC is offering incentives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Those who pledge at least $15 total will be eligible to win a prize each week of the campaign. Donations made by Fridays at 3 p.m. qualify for that week&#8217;s drawing, as well as subsequent drawings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The earlier the donatation, the better the chance at winning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drawing winners will be notified via email.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For questions regarding this year&#8217;s campaign, contact&nbsp;<a
