A grand rounds speaker this Thursday will share his personal journey through a diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and the invaluable insights he has gained along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ajay Sampat, MD, is a neurologist and associate clinical professor with the University of California Davis School of Medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At a UNMC Neurology Grand Rounds, Dr. Sampat will give a presentation titled, “My ALS Journey: Thoughts, Reflections and Unsolicited Advice for Health care Providers.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The presentation will be online from noon to 1 p.m. CT on Thursday, Nov. 9. See the event listing at this link<\/a> to access the presentation via Zoom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Afsaneh Shirani, MD, assistant professor in the UNMC Department of Neurological Sciences and course director for grand rounds for the department, said the event promises to be an inspiration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
