Gold, MD, resumes his conversation with Sunil Hingorani, MD, PhD, director of the Pancreatic Cancer Center of Excellence at the Fred &amp; Pamela Buffett Cancer Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the second of two discussions posted during Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, Dr. Hingorani speaks about a new era in pancreatic cancer care, the interdisciplinary approach to care at the Pancreatic Cancer Center of Excellence and the difficulties of making a diagnosis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe&#8217;re still coming up with the best ways to try to screen for and detect this disease,\u201d Dr. Hingorani said. \u201cA lot of the issues go back to, again, the anatomy \u2014 where the pancreas is located.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Podlove Web Player: Health Care Heart to Heart with Dr. Jeff Gold - Dr. Jeff Gold and guest Sunil Hingorani MD, PhD - Part 2\" height=\"200\" width=\"100%\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/hearttoheart\/wp-content\/plugins\/podlove-web-player\/web-player\/share.html?config=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.unmc.edu%2Fhearttoheart%2Fwp-json%2Fpodlove-web-player%2Fshortcode%2Fconfig%2Fdefault%2Ftheme%2Fdefault&#038;episode=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.unmc.edu%2Fhearttoheart%2Fwp-json%2Fpodlove-web-player%2Fshortcode%2Fpublisher%2F219\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" tabindex=\"0\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>He also discussed the importance of hope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHope is critical to healing in almost any disease that we diagnose and treat,\u201d Dr. Hingorani said. \u201cAnd having that very special fight by the patients and of course their loved ones, their family, their church, all of those people, it really is a team effort to get them engaged and to get them through that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first half of Dr. Gold\u2019s discussion with Dr. Hingorani is available to stream, as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHealth Care Heart to Heart\u201d posts new podcasts every other week, as Dr. Gold speaks to national, regional and local health care leaders on issues of importance.
