Over and over again, I saw, too, how social connections and place positively impacted health in this context. Seeing these things made me want to research them and try to make a small contribution to the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Education:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>BA in politics from Brandeis University<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MPH in international health<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PhD in behavioral epidemiology from Tulane University<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Memberships:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Society for Epidemiologic Research<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>American College of Epidemiology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Two things people may not know about me:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>I spent four years in Cameroon, first with the Peace Corps and then with a non-profit social marketing organization.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I love looking at and creating mosaic
