Keep your toes warm and show your love for UNMC and Nebraska Medicine during the Give With Your Heart<\/a> campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In recognition of Giving Tuesday Nov. 28, alumni, friends, grateful patients, faculty and staff will be able to show their support for students, patients or programs at UNMC and Nebraska Medicine while upping their footwear style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur focus will always be ensuring UNMC students receive the best training in the country,\u201d said H. Dele Davies, MD, senior vice chancellor for academic affairs at UNMC. \u201cYour support is critical as we work to prepare the next generation of health care researchers and clinicians, whose breakthroughs continue to give hope as they help transform the health of our communities and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Nov. 21 through Dec. 1, anyone who makes a gift of $65 or more will receive a pair of UNMC\/Nebraska Medicine socks created just for the event. Give early because when these socks are gone, they\u2019re gone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAt Nebraska Medicine, we aim to deliver extraordinary care to all who seek it, whether at one of our ambulatory clinics, specialized treatment centers, outpatient surgery sites or within the four walls of our hospitals,\u201d said Harris Frankel, MD, chief medical and external affairs officer for Nebraska Medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added, \u201cPhilanthropic support is vital to our mission and helps to provide funding for our capital priorities, including but not limited to facilities and the most contemporary advanced technologies\/equipment, not to mention support for our colleagues\/staff, as well as our patients and their families for their most basic needs, such as food, transportation and lodging.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
