{"id":105498,"date":"2023-11-22T01:56:00","date_gmt":"2023-11-22T07:56:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/?p=105498"},"modified":"2023-11-22T09:19:31","modified_gmt":"2023-11-22T15:19:31","slug":"campus-winter-coat-drive-runs-through-dec-15","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2023\/11\/22\/campus-winter-coat-drive-runs-through-dec-15\/","title":{"rendered":"Campus winter coat drive runs through Dec. 15"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\">\n<p>UNMC\u2019s Fostering the Future student group is sponsoring a campus winter coat drive to benefit Youth Mart, which supports young adults aging out of the foster care system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Youth Mart, a program through the local nonprofit Partnership 4 Hope, is a donation center for young adults 25 and under who have aged out of foster care, offering free clothes and furniture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through Dec. 15, Fostering the Future will collect all sizes of coats, new and used in good condition. Blue collection bins will be placed in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The family medicine clinic in the Durham Outpatient Center<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sorrell Center second floor commons<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UNMC College of Pharmacy second floor common area<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UNMC Center for Nursing Sciences third floor atrium\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Fostering the Future is a student-led, interprofessional service-learning initiative dedicated to promoting resources and solutions to address the health challenges at-risk youth face in the Omaha metropolitan area. For more information on UNMC\u2019s five student-led Legacy groups, contact&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:oce@unmc.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Office of Community
