Insurance cards also list the new EmpiRx Health prescription information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska advises that member ID cards were mailed before Dec. 15, but some ID cards may not have arrived due to U.S. Postal Service delays. Those member ID cards still are expected to arrive in the mail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are the options available to receive a digital member ID before then. Users are urged to use a desktop or laptop computer, instead of a mobile device:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Email Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If enrolled employees need a digital copy of their member ID card, they can email the account <a href=\"mailto:UniversityofNE@NebraskaBlue.com\">UniversityofNE@NebraskaBlue.com<\/a>, also available at <a href=\"mailto:UniversityofNE@NebraskaBlue.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this link<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ID cards are available online. But registration online requires a member ID number. The ID number also can be found on the Coordination of Benefits letter employees received in December. Employees who no longer have the letter can contact the UNMC Benefits Office to request their member ID number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once employees get their member number, they can register online at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskablue.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska website (www.nebraskablue.com)<\/a> to get their digital ID card via these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nebraskablue.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska website (www.nebraskablue.com)<\/a>. Click on Member Login in the blue bar at the top of the page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the box that comes up, click on \u201cDon\u2019t have an account?\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A box comes up as \u201cStep 1: Account Verification\u201d with a prompt to \u201cEnter Your Member ID*.\u201d Enter the member ID in the box. Click \u201cNext.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The next box comes up as \u201cStep 2: Member Verification.\u201d Enter the information as needed. Click \u201cNext.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Then the next box is: \u201cStep 3: Verify Email.\u201d Enter your email address for verification. Click on \u201cSend Verification Code.\u201d It will specify that a verification code has been sent to your inbox. Copy the code into the input box in the prompt. Then click \u201cNext.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The final box is: \u201cStep 4: Confirmation.\u201d Create an account password as specified. Then click \u201cCreate.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Afterward, members will need to sign in with the BlueCross BlueShield Nebraska account just created. After entering the new login information, click \u201cLogin.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On the left of the webpage, one of the options is \u201cView ID Card.\u201d Click on that to show the member ID card, which is available to print or available for download (\u201cDownload ID Card Front\u201d and \u201cDownload ID Card Back\u201d).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The card is available to use or show where needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Secure message<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Members soon will be receiving an email from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska offering access to a secure message to access their ID card. The email will have follow-up instructions to register an account and retrieve the secure document with the member ID card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>UNMC Benefits Office<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If necessary, contact the UNMC Benefits Office to assist with any questions, concerns or issues during this transition.
