Celebrate the Lunar New Year at “Celebrate Culture,” which will be held Thursday, Feb. 29, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Truhlsen Events Center, first floor in the Sorrell Center. The event is open to the UNMC campus and Nebraska Medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, the event will serve Asian dishes from China Buffet to the first 100 attendees or until the food is gone. The first 200 attendees will receive Chinese New Year hanging ornaments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interactive tables will include tea tasting, calligraphy, lantern making, dragon origami, toys, games and trivia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Celebrate Culture is coordinated by the UNMC Office of Global Engagement, Asia American Pacific Islander Student Association, Asia American Pacific Islander Employee Resource Group and the UNMC Chinese Students and Scholars Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
